Here we are IN the ninth month of Baby J’s life! Honestly, we are quite close to 10…so that means I am running behind, again!
Anyway, Jackson is growing like a weed! He started crawling this month! He has quickly picked up the speed of crawl and is getting into everything! Baby proofing, baby proofing, baby proofing! Jackson also pulls up on everything. He likes to walk along the furniture, behind and in his walker toys.
Jackson has started doing really well at playing and entertaining himself {at home mostly}. He is improving at playing and napping at work, but does better at both at home. He is so laid back and just goes with the flow where ever we are! This week we have spent the mornings at VBS at the park and he was just as happy as could be.
Jackson weighs 20 lb 6 oz (at his 9 month check up) and is 28 inches long! Much longer than I expected! We had to make another dr visit this month after his check up due to a cold. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t anything worse before the weekend hit. He has fought it for about a week but is mostly over it now.
We tried changing to generic brand (similar to Enfamil) formula to save some $$. That did not go well. For some reason it caused 7-8 really full dirty diapers a day which then resulted in an awful rash that we couldn’t beat for nearly 2 weeks. Needless to say, we are back to Enfamil!
Jackson had his first swim this month! We took an afternoon trip out to Pedernales Falls State Park where he got in the river and splashed around. He loved it! Since then we have used the baby pool in the back yard and have swam at Mimi and Poppa’s house. He LOVES the water!
Sleep is still the same. He usually wakes 1x a night but no consistent time. It may be 12, or 2, or 4:30…every night is different. We will randomly luck out with a full night of sleep about once every couple of weeks (or LESS)!
Today, we found out that Jackson is going to have a baby SISTER! He enjoyed pulling on all the clothes in the baby stores when we were shopping for baby sister an outfit today 🙂
The boy loves to eat- purees, puffs, bottles, yogurt. He does NOT like anything with bits of food in it. We have tried scrambled eggs (NO), baby food with apple bits (NO), steamed carrots (NO), steamed broccoli (NO), refried beans (NO). So, we are working in this area 🙂
Jackson’s laugh and smile rarely leave his sweet face and that sweet face brings so much joy to our every day lives!
