Well, here we are with our youngest being 8 months old! And, that also means that I missed the 7 month blog. I thought about writing it and had it in my planner weekly throughout her 7th month, but it never got written. So, onto month 8, and only 4 days late!
Emmalyn is just growing like a weed. She seems so big and tries so hard to keep up with big brother. She is crawling and bear crawling everywhere and FAST! She can catch up with her walking brother pretty quickly and follows us from room to room in a hurry! She has been pulling up on toys, the couch, our legs, the wall, and anything she can get her hands on for the past month. She is able to take a couple of steps along the couch or behind the walker. I expect that it won’t be very long until she is walking! Jackson started crawling at 9 months and walking right before he turned 1.
Emmalyn loves food! With every bite, whether it is pureed food or puffs or yogurt drops, she follows up with a “mmm” and a smile. It’s quite cute and sweet 🙂
She is still doing a great job with sleeping and napping! I am so thankful! These two babies zap the energy out of me daily and I know it would be much harder if she wasn’t sleeping through the night consistently. She likes to take 2-3 naps a day and is ready for bed around 7:30 or 8.
Emmy got her first tooth last month (7 months) and is working on another. I can’t believe our baby girl is on the downhill slope of her first year. I am already starting to think about her first birthday (and his second!) and I am not sure where the time has gone or how it is possible.
I have transitioned to working from home over the last couple of months. Life has been busy and crazy but working from home has been such a blessing. I get to be with both babies at home each day. We get to make our own schedule and we get to do it at home. On average, I am working about 20 hours a week from home and we have been so blessed with the jobs that we continue to receive.
Last month, Emmalyn and Jackson went on their first camping trip. They were absolute troopers and did great. I will post more about that, hopefully sooner than later 🙂
