Six months. Emmy has left the infant/newborn stage in the dust. She is all baby and on her way to toddler in a hurry. Emmalyn Grace is such a happy, smiley baby. She doesn’t talk or coo a whole lot but it is really sweet when she does! At her last check up (we went for just her since Jackson didn’t have a well check due), she was very talkative! I told the doctor that she didn’t usually talk that much, and he said it’s probably because Jackson doesn’t give her a chance to talk! She loves her big brother and watches him constantly. She tries so hard to run around with him and is SO close to crawling! She is strong and has good coordination. Her entire face lights up when someone looks at her or talks to her and her smiles melts our hearts!
Emmy is a fantastic sleeper. We thought Jackson was an easy baby, but he wasn’t the best sleeper and at her age, napping was a battle. Emmalyn loves to just be laid down in her bed to go to sleep. She naps really well- 2-3 naps a day and sometimes I wake her up after 2-3 hours! She is sleeping through the night almost every night (8pm-7am ish). If she wakes up I just give her a paci or a bottle and she goes back to sleep on her own and I often wake her up around 8:30 to get going for the day.
She is taking 6 ounce bottles every 3 hours throughout the day. We are starting to play around with some pureed baby foods. She has liked sweet potatoes but not carrots. I got a little crazy and gave her some mashed potato salad- she hated that!
