I must sound like a broken record, but HOW is this baby girl already FIVE months old? Day after day, week after week, month after month just zoom right on by. It’s weird how five months seems unbelievable but at the same time, it’s hard to imagine life before her (and him)!
Emmy surprises us daily with her development. She is already rolling over tummy to back and back to tummy like a champ. And she loves it. She rolls all over the floor! She has been sleeping through the night about 75% of the time for a few months now. She is fully formula fed now and started holding her bottle from day 1 of giving it to her.
She has excellent hand-eye coordination and loves to reach for toys and play with something in her hands. She is also interested in the tv when it is on… We do what we have to to keep one content and quietly occupied while attending to the other crying child! 🙂
She gets a big smile on her face when she eats sweet potatoes. So far, that is the only food she has tried, but she liked it! She also LOVES to be talked to and looked at. She is mostly easy going but really loves to have lots of attention! Emmy is still very tolerable of big brother. 90% of the time he wants to hug and kiss and hold. The other 10% is usually filled with jealously and…. sibling abuse (?) 🙂
Some days are crazy and at the end of other days we are surprised at how smoothly things had gone. The most hectic times in the day to day with two under two are the mornings (on works days, Sunday, when we have to be somewhere at a certain time) and some evenings. Day time is usually fairly mild. When 8:00 rolls around, though, it’s bed time and Momma and Daddy get a couple of hours of calm and quiet!
At least once a day, I thank God for these precious blessings and pray that I never take them for granted.
