Twelve weeks ago I was laying in a hospital bed starving and waiting for our little man to make a move! And today, I am having a sandwich for lunch while baby J naps. š It is crazy to think that it has been a whole 12 weeks that we have had him in our arms. I feel like we are really getting the hang of things lately. He has always been a really good baby; even so, there is a learning curve to figuring out how to juggle life with baby. We don’t have any consistent routine as far as specific bed times or nap times so that makes things a little unpredictable for me, but it works out just fine. He usually only wakes up 2x during the night to eat, and if I’m lucky, the second time he wakes may be between 6-7 am. If so, I just stay awake, but sometimes the second feeding is around 5, and that’s just too early to stay awake š I am feeling so much more rested and have started a morning routine for myself that I have really enjoyed. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings I get up around 6:45 or 7 (the time all depends on the feeding schedule from the night before). Ā I make coffee- tbh- it’s really a vanilla cappuccino K-cup thing because I can’t stand real coffee- and I do my Bible study. I have really enjoyed this quiet time the past couple of weeks!

The other two mornings of the week- Tuesday and Thursday- are reserved for project: Lose the Baby Weight! I know it is not realistic to expect myself to run daily, so I plan to make it happen on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. I started last Tuesday and then I got the stomach bug so I didn’t run Thursday, but I “restarted” today! On non-running days, I try to do some sort of exercise in the house- abs, arm weights, lunges, yoga, etc). I do not have a jogging stroller {hence the running early before the hubby goes to work so he can watch Jackson}, but maybe someday- if I stick to this running- we will give it a try!
Sidenote- if you’re looking for a yummy snack, give this yogurt a try! Key lime pie flavor. It’s amazing.

Next week, we go back to work. Yes, WE, as in me AND baby J! I am so lucky to get to take him with me! We will see what happens to our semi-routine then! š
